介紹完露西亞的由來，接下來讓Gunnar大叔告訴你，

他的青春年少時是如何瘋狂party瘋狂喝酒度過這個充滿惡靈的夜晚!!

Today we have two traditions going, the old ancient tradition that is being celebrated by teenagers and young adults. It is quite common to have a party on December 12, with a lot of alcohol. The party goes all the night until Lucia (Dec 13). It is one of the four major drinking holidays of the year, the others being: New Year, Valborg (beginning of spring), Midsummer (longest day of the year).

今天，我們有兩種傳統的慶祝方式。遠古的傳統主要以十幾歲的青少年和年輕成年人為主角。

常常會有人在12月12日當天開party，準備很多酒。

這個party持續一整晚直到聖盧西亞的到來（12月13日）。

它是瑞典人喝最多酒的四大節日之一，

其餘分別為：新年，Valborg（立春），midsummer（夏至）。

The other tradition is the “Lucia-train”. All over Sweden, young women are competing to become the local Lucia. In Schools the kids cast votes, mostly on the hottest girl.

另一個傳統是“露西亞列車”。瑞典各地都有這樣的慶祝活動，年輕女性競相成為當地的聖盧西亞。

學校的孩子們會參與投票，選出最漂亮的女孩擔任聖盧西亞。

 Early in the morning of December 13, kids and professional choirs sing and perform. Parents are watching their kids perform. The city choirs are making advanced performances that you can attend. Groups are performing for the old and the sick at nursing homes and hospitals. If you are too tired, you can watch it on TV without getting out of bed.

12月13日一早，孩子們和專業合唱團準備的唱歌、表演節目就已經開始，

家長們也會來觀看自己的孩子演出；每個城市的合唱團也會有正式的表演讓市民可以前往聆聽；

有些表演團體會到醫院為生病的老人和養老院的住戶們演出。

或是如果你太累了，你也可以選擇賴在床上收看電視裡的演出。

Regardless of the location the procedure is the same. The audience sits in a dark room and suddenly the light appears. Lucia is leading the way with candles in her hair, followed by the rest of the girls, called Tärnor. The guys are dressed as Star boys (Stjärngossar), which symbolize the three wise man of the bible.

無論是哪一場表演，表演流程都大同小異：

觀眾坐在黑暗的房間裡，光線突然出現，聖盧西亞帶著插著蠟燭的頭飾領導著眾人向前行走。

隊伍中包括了--

被稱為Tärnor的其他女孩，

還有一些打扮成星星男孩（Stjärngossar）的孩子，象徵聖經裡的三個智者。

However that is beside the points…The purpose of Lucia is to bring some light into the darkness of winter. With more than 20 hours of complete darkness you need some reason to enjoy life.

當然， 除了這些原因...

過聖盧西亞的目的是讓一些"光"進入黑暗的冬天。

瑞典的冬天一天有超過 20小時的完全黑暗，人們需要一些理由來享受生活。

The choir will sing and entertain you for an hour. After that you will be treated to traditional Lucia snacks such as ginger bread and Lussekatt (Cat of Lucifer); a saffron bread that was believed to protect against evil spirits.

合唱團的演唱和精彩表演大約為時一個小時。之後，會有許多傳統的露西亞零食上桌，

例如：生薑麵包和Lussekatt（Lucifer之貓）。

Lussekatt是一種番紅花麵包，人們相信它可以用以抵禦邪惡的惡靈。

This is where the night ends for most teenagers, half passed out in the school auditorium; hung over listening to girls (and boys) singing.

夜晚結束的時候，那些參與盛會的青少年們，

有一半醉倒在學校禮堂，其餘的則在女童和男童的歌聲裡宿醉。

Party all night! Or just enjoying your kids perform with traditional Lucia snacks. It is an important tradition to many Swedish people.

所以，今晚讓我們徹夜party吧！

或是靜靜的享受孩子們的表演與傳統的露西亞小吃。

對許多瑞典人民來說，這是一項重要的傳統。

在外遠遊求學工作的遊子們，即使無法回到瑞典共襄盛舉，

也會與當地的瑞典人相約一同跨越這最長的黑夜，

我們兩年前還在美國辛辛那提住的時候，也參加了當地的瑞典人Lusia喔~
